JR vs Muzo vs Gemfactor vs Bright Green Stones

I only had experience with JR Columbian Emeralds. How would you compare the pricing and quality from each other (JR vs Muzo vs Gemfactor vs BG Stone)? I am looking for a pair of emeralds so feedbacks are greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I have only purchased from BG Stones, several times, and have been very happy. That said, he's located in Thailand and I am in the U.S., and as an individual consumer there are no reliable insured shipping options available to me if I wanted to return anything.

So, if I were contemplating an expensive gemstone purchase, I'd look at each of your 4 vendors and check out their locations, their return policies, whether they provide return shipping labels with their insurance covering return (even if it at your expense), what kind of gemstone lab reports they may provide, etc. Pick the vendor(s) with the policies that best work for you, and then search/find/reach out/wait for what you're looking for.

Thanks for sharing your experience with BGS. Were you charged with import duties?

no - I am located in Southern California and IIRC have never had to pay import duties for any international purchase from any vendor

My take is that JR has less saturated stones, Muzo has excellent stones for a fair price (my Muzo emerald is from him), Gemfactor has great Chivor stones at fair prices, and BG Stones has excellent stones as well but seems to be a higher price than Muzo.
