JFF: Weird LIW-related dreams

Last night I dreamed I wore the ring out and about before he proposed with it, and it fell off on the street and I lost it. Then when I found it, one of the diamonds was teeny and the ring looked warped.

I think I was reading a thread last night about wearing the ring around the house... what can I say, you ladies make a definite impression on me!

Haha, this is a funny topic. But I'm sure most of us have our stories...

My LIW dreams usually involve a proposal and a ring I absolutely hate. And I've had that dream several times. Lovely proposal, a big "yes!" and then I look down at my finger and it's one of those truly hideous rings you'd see in the "funny/ironic rings" thread.

Maybe that's why I keep an updated spreadsheet on the desktop of my computer of links to diamonds and settings entitled "Honey, Look Here!"

Last night I had my 2nd wedding-related dream ever. The first was that I had showed up to my wedding wearing purple sparkly skinny jeans

Last night I dreamt that my parents (mostly my mom) surprised me with an e-ring and a wedding for me and my BF. My mom planned every little detail and she even picked out my dream dress (Melissa Sweet "Fern") that was hanging up by a fountain in a park. I can''t remember a lot...I just remember that we were all getting ready in a big park with gorgeous marble bathrooms (huh!?!?!?) and the reception tables were really long and ran vertically. I also remember tracking down my BF before the wedding and telling him that if he wasn''t comfortable getting married (because for some strange reason my mom had forgotten to invite his parents) that we absolutely didn''t have to. He told me that he absolutely wanted to get married right then and there!

The last thing that I remember is that we had a son named Lloyd (who was teething...). SOOO weird!!!

I woke up and retold my dream to my BF and we had a good laugh...

Last night I dreamed I was on the way to the wedding, and could not find my dress, and I was late, and I was in an accident (a stupid one...I wasn''t even driving!) where the car I was in got covered with mud and me along with it. Then my SIL offered to loan me her gown, and it was this horrible slinky, knit lace thing that I could never wear (need good boob and belly support!). Just a bizzare dream thanks to me being such a control freak.

I''ve only ever had one! Can''t remember it in detail as it was about to years ago but I know there was a massive monster truck type vehicle and SO gave me a ring that was horrible but I kept telling myself, "It doesn''t matter about the ring, you''re getting married!"

Since then i''ve never dreamt about it at all which is strange. I don''t know whether it''s because I just can''t imagine it happening, although i think about it all the time so it must be in my subconcious??

I only ever had one proposal dream and it was on 12/31, the night before my FI proposed...and I told him about it the next morning, hours before the real proposal came!

So the dream was that he proposed in a crosswalk, randomly on the street...didn''t get on one knee or anything. Then he also had 5 rings for me: one was a men''s pinky ring (like mafioso style), 2 had stones that were black and looked like peppercorns, and the other 2 were 80s style....I didn''t know which one was meant for me! and then I woke up.

This is too funny! I''ve often thought about posting a thread like this because I have these dreams about every other week or so -- in fact SO was joking about it yesterday and said that I must REALLY think he doesn''t have any taste! which I assured him is not true and I''m just obsessed.

Let''s see, in my latest dream SO took my mom, little sister and I out to this place for lunch. The restaurant was SUPER tacky...I think it was country style because we were sitting at this wooden picnic table and there was hay on the floor. All of a sudden he pulls out this box (without preamble) and holds out THE ugliest ring I''d ever seen. There was a band that was completely covered by a flat piece of glass. My mom got tears in her eyes but I was fighting back a different kind of tears! I was torn between wanting to run for my life and not wanting to seem shallow. I remember also being REALLY upset that my dad wasn''t there and that SO didn''t bother to ask him for my hand. I spent the rest of the dream trying to fake being happy!

Thank goodness I don''t need to worry about ANY of these nightmares happening in real life!

This is perfect because I just had one of these dreams last night. I've posted various dreams I've had in the past but anyway.....

So he pulls out this little blue box

oooo yippie!! I think to myself.....
He gets down on one knee and in the blue box is another blue box....but its sitting sideways in the other box and the ribbon is all messy

He opens it up and its like a cruddy ring that has fallen apart and he's like "oops!" and then

I'm like "Hey! This isn't even a Tiffany blue box. It's just a blue box with a crappy broken ring in it!!"

lol! That's all I remember. Just my luck anyway.

All the LIW/engagement ring/wedding dreams I've had usually go wrong somehow. There was only one time where everything was perfect at my 'wedding'. I liked that dream lol!

I had the strangest dream last night. SO and I were getting married in a small chapel. My bridesmaids and I were dressed in Halloween like costumes and I was wearing a big red wig. Everything seemed to go wrong. First I didn''t know when was my cue to walk down the aisle. Once I got to the altar, SO pulled a poem out of his pocket and read it to me and then kissed me. I put a finger up like, "you''re not supposed to kiss me yet!" Then he puts a strange pink colored ring on my finger. I was a little confused because everything was out of order (I guess we didn''t rehearse!). We look over to the guy officiating and he says, "That''s it!" Uhhh ok.
