You all crack me up! Thing2of2 that is quite a list
9.gif

Foods I hate (aka foods I would not eat even if it was all I had):
Beets
Hard boiled eggs
Meat (beef, chicken, lamb, duck, whatever...not happening! I do like most fish, but only if it is cooked like medium well to well, no seared tuna for me)
Mayo
Ketchup (except in small amounts, with black pepper, as a dip for french fries--never, ever on them)
Canteloupe
tomato juice/anything with tomato juice
oysters
mussels
clams (except if they are cut up very very small in clam chowder, like at Legal Sea Foods YUM)

Foods I love:
Popcorn (cooked on the stove)
Pesto
Pizza
Pasta
Homemade pudding/custard/flan, etc.
almost any veggie

Hmmm...looking at the list I guess I really like foods that sstart with "p"

chunks of tomatoes (in salads/sandwiches) and slices of tomatoes by themselves/whole tomatoes and bloody marys/V8 (i will eat any other type of tomato in food/sauces and i will ALWAYS eat salsa.)

chalupas. i don''t know why, i love tacos, quesidillas, enchiladas, burritoes... but something about the meat/lettuce/tortilla combo in chalupas doesn''t work for me. if i order one by accident i eat it, but i try to remember not to get combos with it.

lasagna

well to be fair i HATE burnt, crunchy cheese. i can do a little burned cheese on pizza but never on pasta or potatoes, so if the lasagna has no yucky cheese i''d probably enjoy it.

i don''t hate them but i really don''t care for mashed potatoes. (i had them on average 5 nights a week for about 18 years. i think i''ve eaten more than enough)

i don''t like rice krispie treats. i think that''s something else i had too much of growing up

other than that i''ll eat just about anything
9.gif
i like trying new foods (yes i''m one of those people who''ll order the weirdest thing on the menu)

pesto
marsipan
coffee

I''m glad no one mentioned chocolate!

Cantaloupe
Asparagus (the frozen kind -- it''s so mushy and it smells disgusting to me)
Peas (I''ll eat them if they''re mixed in a dish but I won''t eat peas on their own.)
Red wine
Banana flavored things (I like bananas though)
Pie (I don''t hate it but I MUCH rather have cake than pie.)
Hard-boiled eggs
Lamb and duck
Mayo (I only like it with tuna, otherwise it''s mustard for me when I''m making a sandwich.)

Exactly this. How funny, Squirrly!

- Seafood (except for tuna fish- YUM)
- Hot dogs (now that I know what they''re made of)
- Mushrooms
- Olives
- Cherries
- Blueberries (but I don''t mind ''em in muffins)
- Papaya

And any exotic/gamey meat, but I wouldn''t consider those ''commonly loved.''

Reading through your lists has made me realize just how picky I am!!

Additional foods I hate and wouldn''t eat if they were the only thing in my home:

ranch dressing (or ranch anything)
olives
raisins
brussels sprouts
seafood
most freshwater fish (I can stomach bass or bluegill if I HAVE to)
cantaloupe
honeydew
watermelon
pumpkin pie

I love venison and beets though!

for me its

apple pie, apple sauce, any cooked apples but I love just plain ol apples

same with pineapples, love the actual fruit, hate them cooked

the other day my DH made a favorite dish of mine I make
Shrimp in a garlic buttersauce
he overcooked it and the shrimp turned into mush. Literally. It kinda ruined it for me... the taste was there but the texture was gross... shrimp melted in my mouth..
sorry DH! love you! god knows you tried

I hate:
Mustard
Celery (I think it has such a STRONG flavor, especially raw even though my mom always used to try to hide it in things to get me to eat it).
Mushrooms, or anything made with mushroom flavored stuff like Green Bean Casserole.

I honestly will eat or drink most things, but I despise Coca-Cola/Pepsi, and don't like soft drink of any form, really.

I like a wide assortment of veggies, but spinach?

Blughh! Raw in a salad or cooked, I hate that sandy, gritty, dirty taste. Ugh!

Strawberries! The only time I can stand them is in lemonade. Even chocolate dipped is yucky.

White chocolate and mayo, because to me they look like something used on the skin or in the hair.

Onions.

If a raw onion has even touched my food, I can''t eat it.

If they are cooked into absolute oblivion in a stew or soup, then I can eat them. If I can recognize them in any way, I can''t.

Turkey. I know it''s the traditional holiday meal, but I just can''t get past the gaminess/aftertaste. I actually made turkey for the first time on Christmas and I brined it with wine, lemon, salt, pepper, sugar, onions and garlic. Everyone else loved it because they thought it tasted like chicken, but I could still smell and taste the turkey.

Duck. I know this is more exotic, but I tried it once and I nearly gagged. OMG, it''s so gamey and strong!
