I just read through this whole post (instead of working lol) and would love an update OP. What diamond did you get and can we see a picture!?

Just wanted to point out that a ring with a 1.3 or 1.4 center stone WITH a halo, on a size 4 finger, would not be considered by many to be “dainty”. I think going with ACA is the very best idea, and better yet if WF could make the setting. Then you wouldn’t have to insure a loose stone (sometimes hard to find insurance for loose stones), no shipping to another person, no risking a third party chipping the ACA while setting… all very small risks, but risks nonetheless.
