I think a Tiffany piece from the 1930's, for example, is practically bespoke. Some really stellar pieces that are extremely well-done and very valuable as they represented extremely high quality of the era.The prices of vintage Tiffany high end jewelry speak to the quality of gems and craftsmanship--as well as rarity.

Now---the dime a dozen sterling 'Return to Tiffany" type pieces.
They still have some good pieces but they downgraded their brand with all the sterling and mass market stuff, IMHO.

TBH, all the high end brands are going the route of recognizable pieces of status jewelry (logo type jewelr7 such as Cartier Love bracelet) as opposed to simply extremely beautiful pieces of the highest craftsmanship. It's all about recognizability now. Just like a LV handbag.
Just my opinion.
