I keep reading about insurance and appraisals but no one I know (in Singapore/Hong Kong) has insurance. Am I missing something?

If you are based in Singapore/Asia and don’t have /have insurance, any thoughts/recommendations?

I'm in the USA, but have you tried JM? I thought they dealt internationally.

Unfortunately for those people who live elsewhere, Jewelers Mutual writes policies only for US residents and Canadians who don't live in Quebec.

In HK I have only seen it as an optional add-on for home insurance but the coverage is quite limited.

I’m curious if anyone has wxperience with this in korea...

I wasn't aware. Thank you for clarifying.

Through various domestic and international dealings (not diamond related) I've seen policies from:
  • Chubb (USA based)
  • Travelers (USA based)
  • Ping An (China based)
  • AXA Group (France based)
  • Allianz (Germany based)
  • USAA (USA based and requires current or former military connection. I know for a fact if you are stationed overseas you can get coverage)
  • Liberty Mutual (USA based and provides insurance for USAA members that do not meet higher level military eligibility requirements. Not sure about their international policy but assume they might)

I'm in SG. Chubb insures mine. If you'd like, find me on LT and I can email you the contact person's details.
