Jeweler to mount emerald?

I have a 3.01carat emerald and two diamond trillions I want to have set in a classic 3-stone type mounting. I''m not sure if I should use a local jeweler to design/make the mounting and set the stones, or if I would be better off using one of the sources I have read about in this forum (Tradeshop, etc.) since I understand emeralds can be tricky to work with. Any thoughts?

It''s really up to you. If you have a local jeweler you trust, that can be easier than going online. If not, there are a lot of great jewelers that people have used on this site. Read around about different jewelers, call and talk with them abotu your project, and decide the best method for you!
