Did you see Jeff's unheated blue sapphire that is on auction for the Red Cross disaster relief for the tornadoes in the Southeast? It is on ebay.

That is one lovely sapphire I'm not bidding as I'm stepping away from buying stones at the moment. But someone will be very happy when they win this.

Its great that Jeff is stepping up to the plate in this way. This disaster hits close to home for me as well as I have family and friends who have been displaced.

I really admire Jeff. This is hardly the first time he has donated a gorgeous stone for a charity auction. And I love that, on at least one occasion, buyers were willing to pay very good prices for those stones, maximizing the value of the donation.

I agree, it is a great donation, which shows the goodness of his heart. The quality of the stone shows it. I am taking care of my sick father and am out of the bidding game for a while, but the stone looks gorgeous!
