Hi,

I am new to this forum. I am looking for some opinions on an engagement ring from James Allen. I would like to purchase the 2mm knife edge ring setting in platinum ($620) and brilliant cut diamond around 0.44. I am considering this one;

Just wondering what people's advice/opinions would be regarding this setting and diamond?

Both will make a lovely ring! I'm not sure if the stone would pass others vendors definition of an H&A but its close
(which is probably good enough).

Brian Gavin has a stone (same size) that is G color, eye-clean SI1 that is about $100 dollars more...setting is about $50 more.
Not sure if you were interested in trying to move up in color or not.
 
Thanks very much.I have had a look at this stone and think it's worth considering. I have sent an inquiry regarding the blue spot that is visible in the photo. I really appreciate your recommendation so thanks again.
 
I think it will be a lovely ring. I can't wait to see which diamond you get.
