very cool, I love seeing the video''s..

Hello Leonid,

Thank you so much for the video. I really enjoyed watching it.. It's an eye-opening experience for me.Hopefully, there's more to come in future.

I often worried about buying something unseen over the internet, especially diamond as I preferred to look at the stone before buying.

I owned a Fvs1 0.608 stone and wanted to find another similar stone to set as a pair of earrings. Took me 1 1/2 years to finally found something fairly close to match it at B&M.
Wasn't prepared to purchase over the net because I will not be able to compare my stone side by side with the other diamond and see if they match.
And with the postage, insurance, and tax etc.. sending to singapore, i worry if i purchase over the net and didn't like what i see or able to match, it will cost me ever more just to return the diamond.

However, after watching the short video, you had shown me how the process work and it's safe and not as scary as i had imagined.
If I don't have an existing stone to match at that time, perhaps I may like to purchase one over the internet.

In future, if i ever wanted to upgrade to a bigger stone with a price to match, I will definately give internet a go rather than just narrow my search on B&M.

edited: By the way, I have no idea James Allen of dirt cheap Diamonds is such a young gentleman in person.

Thanks, everybody for your kind words. This is our first project of such scale - filming, editing, setting up a separate server for streaming...
So we were a bit nervous

I did! He he. I got to meet him when I went to see my stone. He is a cutie! So is Josh!

The video does not really do him justice, IMHO!

Awww now I want to meet the people at DCD/JA in person! Take me with you next time Virginia!

Seriously, thanks for the videos very informative!

Nervous?? Nah, you didn''t seem it at all. The camera likes you. You put him at ease and the conversation flowed. It was just so natural. You have a way about getting the person to open up. It was really a delight to see. It just seemd as though you went to the park and had a great chat. So I give you an A+
Keep it up!!!

I have no idea why I''m not able to view! I have a MAC? Would that be it? Drat.

Congratulations for the great presentation!

I can't believe James Allen of all all people would find web-shopping 'cold' and 'unromantic' compared to the other way... Not after their JA site came up!

Seriously - the low pressure and amount of information online feels much like a private jeweler might offer, if anyone adds custom design in the lines are seriously blurred. Perhaps the pushy salesmanship of chain stores is what is missing (harder to confuse buyers without flashing anything shiny? ...

, although good grief... there are online equivalents

).

Drat - no one noticed that this was Rocky Talky (they are sitting on a rock talking).

I think this is a great way for regulars and newbies to get to know the folk around here.

We need more of it

I noticed that, and agree we need more....

That was great Leonid!
Sequel Sequel.
Really interesting and informative.
I''d be really interested in a whole series of interviews with different people.
Keep it up guys! (And thanks James.)

Scintillating...

Great job guys!

Great interviews! Thanks for sharing them with us and I look forward to the new ones coming soon.

HI:

Great edutainment, thanks! For one, I am glad to be able to put a face to the voice and name. Disappointed tho, I didn''t see his jammies

That was great! So cool to "humanize" the websites we''ve all been looking at....

Now it works! I dunno what I did .. or what you did ... but the MAC has landed.

Very cool! (Didn''t think of the Rocky Talky ... but that''s funny if that''s why you did it on the Central Park rocks!!)

Loved the questions ... good condensation into clips ... would get a "wind screen" for the interviewees mic next time (little foam things work well) or if you had another set of hands they could "boom" mic the interview with a big furry sock like wind screen.

Would love to see more "b-roll" during the interview: shot of the original diamond that started his whole journey... shots of other diamonds, video of the website, email praise, the "inner workings" of the company, an appraiser working on an appraisal... that kind of stuff (but that''s the next level, more editing etc.) Being able to "cut away" to shots like that would help you edit for content more easily (shorten ideas etc)

And I think you''re very likeable onscreen Leonid!! Great interviewer! Joking, friendly - helps people open up & give scoop!! AWESOME!

Just wonderful! Leonid you seem so warm and personable.Excellent interview or should I say Ideal? Lots of fun and information. More More More please,
joni

Great work guys. Jim is one of the nicest people I know. Leo if you''re in the NY area pop on by for some of the best NY pizza. :) Jim, did you relocate to NY? I always thought you were down in VA or did you come up here just for the video?

Peace,

Very nice technology Leonid, you just keep staying in front of the crowd!

I can vouch for the fact that in many jeweler''s discussion, Dirt Cheap Diamonds was one of the places that jewelers love to hate. Jewelers tend to like things the way they were and Jim was one of the first to really point out in no uncertain terms how much they had changed.

Wink

Jim was just in NY on a vacation. He was actually heading out right after we finished up our meeting. He''s based out of Frederick, MD.

I REALLY enjoyed watching the video interview! Thank you for setting this up. I would be thrilled to see more vendor interviews in the future!!!
