I purchased a ring last week from James Allen. Many of you probably followed my story on here. I have not yet received the ring, it will ship out overnight tomorrow and I will have it on Thursday morning. I am not posting this to talk about the ring though. I am posting to compliment James Allen and the first class service they provide. I started out as someone who two weeks ago would have sworn I would never buy a ring online and now I am here and would HIGHLY recommend it to everyone. Everyone at James Allen has been helpful, courteous, and transparent throughout the whole process. Their customer service is second to none.
Tonight was an excellent example of the customer service at James Allen. I went on www.jamesallen.com to look at my order and the setting again and while looking at the setting I noticed it had gone down in price by $40. While $40 is immaterial to the total price of my ring, it is still $40. I was not expecting anything but I was curious as to why the price had gone down, but expected nothing from it. I started a chat with one of the representatives that are conveniently available to help you 24/7. This is how the conversation with the rep went: (I have crossed out the rep's name and mine and the order number for security).
REP: Hello. How may I assist you today?
ME: Hey "REP", I purchased a ring last week and I was just on here looking at the setting and I noticed it is $40 cheaper now. Just curious why it is cheaper now. Is it on sale?
REP: It is due to the change in the price of precious metals.
REP: What is your order number?
ME: XXXXXXXXX
REP: I will place a reimbursement for $40.00 to the credit card we have on file.
Need I say more about this company?
Thanks to Marchesa for helping me and recommending James Allen and to everyone else who has helped me on Pricescope.
