James Allen Halo? Other options?

I can't seem to find anyone on this board that has either of these settings:

http://www.jamesallen.com/#!/Engagement-Rings/Wedding-Ring-Sets/Platinum-1.5-4.5mm-Diamond-Halo-Pave-Bridal-Set-item-353

Any idea why?

I am looking for a pave halo ring that is very simple and delicate. I would like something that does not show much metal between the halo stones or the halo and the center diamond.

Can you suggest any other options? Is there anything wrong with the James Allen options? I am struggling because I would like to buy my ring and stone from the same vendor.

I like the first setting more than the second, but I'd be worried the culet would irritate her finger.

Ritani makes nice halos - Good Old Gold and Whiteflash both carry Ritani. Also Gabriel & Co makes affordable settings, and GOG carries them (as does someone else here... ID Jewelry maybe?)

Good Old Gold has a large inventory that is not online - may pay to give them a call and see if Marie can help

The reason no one has those settings is because they are fairly new. They only started having these settings sense they updated there page about a month ago.
I agree if you have a higher budget for your halo like you just showed ritani is a great option! Not paying to much for the name, as ive seen plain shank halos theu have sell for under 1.5k, and some really beautiful designs. Pearlman also sells them
Gah i love this one

But if you want a more traditional one they have so many nice ones under 4k

I did check a few ritani options, they look amazing, and am conisidering going with a ritani through whiteflash. Especially since the ritani rings are not much more expensive. I was just wondering if anyone had any feedback on the James Allen halo settings? The stock photos make it tough to tell, are they as nice as the ritani?

Here are the two i was looking at:

http://www.ritani.com/engagement-rings/halo-french-set-diamond-band-engagement-ring-in-platinum/4966

My main hesitation with Ritani is that I would like to buy the matching wedding band and possibly an anniversay band (to be given down the road) and I expect them to be very expensive :-( (they are not listed on Ritani site yet but they did indicate they do have them),

Well there is no reason to buy the anniversary band juuuust yet, so to save money i might old off on that, but i have not seen the ja settings but others who have have said they had never though it was "higher quality" than other brands. I do jave a ritani tbough and i can attest the rings are extremely delicate and amazingly sturdy at the same time. I have neber regrettedgoing with that company for a minute. Also pearlmans sells ritani anf i think they give a good ps discount

Fair enough, so I am leaning toward the Ritani.

I am following up with Ritani now to see if the make the

in the more dainty 1.5mm version.

Thoughts? Which one do you like better?

I prefer the dainty-ness of the 1.5 but think my FF would like the shape of the first halo.

I prefer the first one. It looks prettier but also it gets less sturdy the thinner you go
