So I have decided on the James Allen 4 prong pave setting with a .9ct round center stone. However I saw some pictures on here from awhile back where people had a problem with a large gap between the e-ring and wedding band. I asked a consultant from James Allen about this and she said that the gap will only be .1-.2 mm and that the pictures I saw exaggerate the gap. Should I be worried? Does anyone have a recent ring like this from James Allen that I could see?

Do you have a link to the exact setting you're talking about? If the head is integrated into the shank, there's not much of a way to prevent the gap. If you want a true flush fit, you'll need to pick a different style setting/head that isn't built into the ring that way, and is set up higher on the shank.

The little donut is probably going to prevent a true flush fit, so if that's important, you will want a different style setting.

This has a bridge for the head to sit on, and if they can make the bridge just a hair taller you won't get a gap with most normal bands:

Same concept kinda, the head is ON the band, not in it.

If they made the head notch slightly higher up, this would also work.
