Hi All. My last post didn't get any replies and I really need to decide between these two diamonds ASAP. I have to compromise, but which one do I choose?

Which diamond is the idealscope for? Whichever it is it looks good.

The cut on the J VVS2 looks better to me. However, I would rather have the H color and would not want to pay for VVS2 clarity.

Can you look for a stone somewhere in the midrange of these two? I like the H VS2 combo in a well cut stone.

You can likely drop to SI1 clarity in that size.

The idealscope posted is for Diamond 1. Thank you for responding Ecf8503!

Thank you all for posting. My budget is only $4,800. I think I like the H color better, but are hearts and arrows that much nicer??

That H stone is great!!!! Absolutely get it over the J VVVS! Much better color! I am so sorry I missed your other post! (And I wouldn't drop to SI1 because this H VS2 is better!)

No, you probably could not even tell it apart from a H&A stone. It has great numbers and is a very desirable size just under a carat!

Apparently that idealscope image above is of the H and I think it confused people that it was placed below the description of the J. If it is the H, the stone is outstanding. I wouldn't even consider another stone because you have found a winner!!!

:appl: Thanks so much diamondseeker! The idealscope posted is indeed of the H. I didn't know how to upload an image of the J. So, I just provided the link to the idealscope.

Looks bigger than a carat. Nice!

Doesn't look small to me at all! Gorgeous, classic ring!

That rock looks massive! The clean (and thin) setting certain adds to the size! Good choice!

Congrats :)
