All (3) of them. Any inspirational stories out there about misplacing your rings and finding them months later? Mine have been out of sight for a good several months now. I've looked in the same places several times. I think I tucked them aware somewhere, in a very safe place, but have no recollection of where that might be.

Look in the laundry room!!!

Ok, that' is where I found my "hidden" jewelry just a couple weeks ago. Actually, two sets of hidden jewelry. Similar story, I hid them, "for safe keeping." Then by the time I remembered I hid them, I forgot exactly where. Months and months (years for the one, really) later, I was cleaning things up and found the first set in a bag of accessories for the rug shampoo machine. Clearly, I don't use those things, just the machine. Then a few days later, I found a couple more things tucked into a little envelope, like clothing manufacturers put extra buttons in. That was tucked in to the back of a drawer. Really, both things could have been just tossed away or pushed aside, as the little envelop must have been. So, check all the craziest spots.

By the way, if you are Christian, I was praying to St. Anthony, the whole time:
Tony, Tony look around, something's lost that must be found. (There is a more formal prayer, but I remember this one easily.)
Apparently, St. Anthony works with his own timeline. Thank you, St. Anthony!

Oh, thank you, KaeKae! I'm glad I'm not the only one who tucks things away and then forgets where. You've given me hope. I'll be checking some little envelopes tonight! I think I'll be checking in with St. Anthony today too!

My boss lost her engagement ring two years ago. Had a replacement made and mourned the loss of her ring. It was awful.
Fast forward to about a month ago they went up to Washington to visit one of our clients. She asked her husband for something out of his travel shave bag. He reached into the side pocket and found something shiny! Her ring was in there the entire time. I almost cried when I heard they found it. She has not taken it off since.
I hope you find your rings.

I'd suggest checking EVERY pocket of EVERY piece of clothing you own. Maybe you put them in your robe pocket one morning while making breakfast, or in a zippered pocket of a purse you rarely use, or your raincoat when you went out in the springtime. I've "lost" things many-a-time that way and thankfully re-found them.

Just yesterday I found a DY pendant/necklace that I thought I'd lost months ago (and had searched "everywhere" for). It was hanging on a hanger in my closet with the shirt I had paired it with when I went on a trip!

So, don't give up hope!

Several years ago, I lost a Tiffany diamond cross necklace when I was at the spa for a treatment. It was given to me by my parents for my birthday when I was younger. After getting back from the spa, I couldn't find it anymore. I searched and searched for months, even asked my massage therapist to search the spa in case it fell off in the changing rooms or in the sauna.. I had given it up for lost. Then finally one day almost a year later I was digging for something in the inside side pocket of my bag and surprise, what should be wedged in the very corner but my necklace!
My DH still jokes about my handbags being a 'black hole' because I have some pretty big bags!

Hope you find your rings soon! Fingers crossed!

HI:

My story is a bracelet one. I recall last having my bracelet on a family vacation....then it was gone. I was heartbroken. I checked every spot--house, luggage, furniture, and cars a dozen times.

A year later, during spring cleaning of cars, I was aggressive/determined in getting every last crumb...and LO and BEHOLD there was my gold and pearl bracelet. For sure I had checked!!! And checked!!!

I am not sure if your rings would be lodged between the abyss that is between the seat and the console...but please check!

cheers--Sharon

ugh! So sorry! No inspirational story, just hoping that you find them asap!

Check your bathroom thoroughly. We have a tendency to take our rings off before washing our hands or getting them wet (or afterward). Also by the kitchen sink. Check glove box of your car too.

Drawers. Any little hideaway space. I love to tuck things in special places I find only to forget later where that was!!!

I still can't find the pendant I hid in early 2016???? Hopefully it will turn up some day??? Hope I can have an inspirational story in the future.

I "hid" a tanzanite necklace somewhere in the house just before leaving on a trip in 2006. If only I could remember where I put it......................

A pair of earrings I had disappeared for 8 months before I found them in a drawer in plain sight that I had searched numerous times before.

Last year prior to leaving for vacation I was too lazy to go to the bank and put my stuff in the safety deposit box. I hid all my jewelry and unneeded credit cards in the house. It took me 8 months to find the jewelry and I never found the credit cards.

DH lost his wedding ring on our 11th anniversary (just this year). Looked and looked, I literally crawled under the bed, tore the house apart to no avail. Couple of months later we are looking again and he runs into the bedroom, by the time I got there he was holding the ring! It had fallen off the middle of the night and was lodged in an awkward place under the bed.

I also lost a gold bracelet my husband gave me the night he proposed, that bracelet was MIA for years. One day as I'm cleaning I came across this planter my son made me and it had a removable insert, I take the insert out and there it is in the bottom of the wooden planter!

Of course now my wedding band is missing, always something! I swear the harder you look, the harder it is to find. Those rings will turn up, it may take some time but you will find them.

My husband lost his wedding ring after taking it off to shower. No luck! We bought a new one. Years later it showed up in the middle of the master bedroom floor. Like he had just dropped it! There is no way it was there for years. It was like someone just put it there as a miracle!

I agree with the others look in all your pockets of everything and draws even in odd places with soft things and desk draws but I wonder if it's near something like towels, blankets, underwear something soft....

Thank you everyone. I really and truly appreciate each of your comments. Last night, I checked a skirt that I had worn when I believe I last wore my rings and anxiously anticipated they'd be in the pockets, but they weren't. I also took all of the clothes off of shelves in a closet where I believe I would have been most likely to put them. Nothing. Tonight, I am going into that closet with a good flashlight and will check every inch of it, top to bottom.

I am absolutely the type of person who would have tucked them into some odd place and kept no mental note of it at all. These are my wedding rings and the below . . .ak_blue_ring.jpg

I have for sure found things in that abyss before. I will check it today! Thank you.

I had the same issue. It showed up in my post when I was composing it but when I posted it the photo didn't show. I think you need to re-upload it.

Trying again:

My hubby bought me a beautiful diamond ring for our 5th anniversary. About a year to a year and a half ago, one of the side diamonds, on my ring, was loose so I stopped wearing it until we had it fixed. We brought it to a jeweler who said they "fixed" it but I saw right away it was still loose. So, I tucked it somewhere "safe" until I had it fixed for real.

Long story short, I have no idea where I put it! I've searched high and low and I've even detailed to car searching for it. I hope it turns up one day.

It's a good time for spring cleaning! While you are taking apart everything with shelves and such to clean, hopefully you will find them tucked where you least expect them! Assuming that you didn't accidentally drop them somewhere in the house, they will surely show up!

Do you have a linen cupboard, desk, places in the bathroom with draws? Other places that you might not normally think to look but you could have hidden them?

I commiserate with you. I think my thread is actually still up somewhere. I once split all my jewelry into 3 separate hiding spots in my room when I went out of country. I came back and forgot where I put them. It took forever and a day. I ended up finding them months later, in a spot I had already looked before. I hope this brings you hope. If you know it wasn't stolen, and is just misplaced, there is always hope.

Our dear LaylaR also thought she lost her engagement ring at our local get together. Months later, she found it, even after moving.

There is always hope.

My mum lost her engagement ring and was devastated. Dad kindly bought her two dress rings to make up for the loss. A few months later they were cleaning out the garage ready to throw out old junk at the tip. Mum unzipped an old suitcase, turned it upside & shook it - Lo and behold her ring fell out! She must have used the case previously & forgot about it... the ring was almost thrown away!

You guys are all the best, thanks for the hopeful stories. I do feel like they are still here.

Arkie - There are many such places. I wonder if I put them somewhere and then they fell, like to the bottom of a basket or something. I've started to clear out a china cabinet that we almost never use, but I've looked in all of the cups, so I don't think it's in there. I cleared off some shelves in one of the closets and shook out the clothes. Nothing yet.

Sending you good luck find the rings vibes Loves Vintage...they are still somewhere in your house. I feel it!

HI:

Oh and look inside your kids toys and play areas. I found an heirloom gold item (thought lost) in one of my son's plastic play toilets (part of a toy house ensemble) . I popped the lid, and there it was! Not flushed away after all! ;)

cheers--Sharon
