Soooo....I did something bad. There was a really cute little amethyst on Art Cut Gems that I just couldn''t resist. It''s 6x6, and a lovely shade of purple. So, without further ado....here''s my little baby.

I''m thinking a star-set pendant. She''s just so dainty, I think she''d get lost on my big ol'' size 7 fingers.

Well, the big one is going to be a RHR when I can afford to set it. I''m thinking yellow gold, and kind of a rope-y setting a la David Yurman, but not as bold. The little one will probably be a pendant. I''m actually debating getting a really simple silver setting for it and giving it to my little sister for Christmas. I''m not sure I want to part with it, though, so that''ll take a little more thought.

I had to laugh at this, a lot of the pictures I took of my tourmaline a few days ago were on the floor. I was crawling about trying to find a fleeting sliver of winter sunlight. My husband thought I was completely barking mad!!

Good to know I''m not the only one. Lovely amethyst, they are both lovely!

Hahahaha! BF looked at me like I was bonkers, so I calmly and rationally explained that''s the only place in his house that got natural like and wasn''t carpeted. And he just kept looking at me like I was bonkers. Silly boy.
