I know it's nothing special compared to all of the beautiful rings people have had made, but this is my first commissioned piece and I'm pretty darn excited! It's a precision cut pink tourmaline from Bob Kast, set by DanielM in rose gold and argentium silver. I can't wait to have it in my hot little (okay, big) hands!

Pretty color and nice prongs. Hand pics when it arrives, please!

oh yummy yummy yummy! Love that delicate setting and the colour just pops on the argentium silver! And I gotta say... I love the prongs! (prong fetish - hey - i should change my name!!) :D

Thanks, ladies! The prongs were my only real sticking point. I fell in love with Freke's rings while browsing the "sold" items.

Beautiful...but I am biased I have one that is almost identical to yours, you will love it :wink2:

Oh I drooled over your ring plenty of times before pulling the trigger on mine, so thank you too! :rodent: This has been a nice little distraction from other things going on in life. It could get expensive, but luckily I'm sloooooow at deciding what to wear, much less what to do with a stone!

Nice plus! The stone gets to star in the show & it's a good enough one to deserve it!

Very pretty.

Love your new ring Tammy! Beautiful color and beautiful prongs!
Wear in good health and happiness!

Very pretty.

The fact that it's your first commissioned piece makes it special! :) I think it's beautiful. Simple can be nice, too! I would also like to see hand shots when you get it, please. :)

It's a very pretty ring Tammy, I'm sure you'll love it. Enjoy!

No further details? :cheeky: What is the ct weight of the tourmaline? Any profile view of the ring? I think BK cuts really superb pink tourmalines at very good prices.

Very pretty ring! The tourmaline is a lovely shade of pink and I like the rose gold prongs.

I promise that I'll come back with hand shots. :wink2: Choro, it's only 7mm and 1.21 ct but I love the color. I wish I didn't have 7.75 mitts so it would have a bit more presence, but I'm sure I'll love it anyhow. :))

As requested, a fun profile shot of the ring. It's just their U prong with double prong claw prongs. Thanks again for all of the lovely comments!

Oh, hey, what a beautiful bright tourmaline! I'm so glad you've set it; it looks like a wonderful ring!

I think it's special because YOU picked the stone and YOU picked the design - that makes it really personal. I think there's a real sense of satisfaction in having your own piece commissioned and work out so well. Many jewelers here in Denmark sell mass-produced fashion jewelry in gold and silver with low quality, or worse, synthetic stones. Those hold no attraction to me. A petty bauble with some hot designer's name smacked on is still a petty bauble (I hope I'm not coming off as too acidic here!).

And it really is a sweet little ring! Pretty combination metal and gem colours - I can understand your excitement!

Well thank you....yours looks alot like mine all the way down to the almost identical ct weight...and what I really like about my ring is how comfortable it is..I love wearing mine, I hope you love yours as well, the color is beautiful!

I love that setting Tammy (I know I already posted that above!) but seeing that profile shot - yummy! - I love the double prongs in the U shape. It is so delicate looking and love the two tone. My "mitts" are the same --- keep me in mind if you decide to go the preloved route - EVER! - on this one!!! ;))

Actually, I think you're wrong. It's a delicate beauty and the fact that you love it and it's made you so excited means it really IS special! Enjoy your lovely new ring and wear it with the pride it deserves!
