It took me a second catch my breath when I opened the package and saw this ring in real life! It's even more beautiful than I imagined it would be. I can't stop looking at it and noticing new little details. I have always wanted to own OECs and have been fascinated by the way they throw light, and I have to say, I don't know if I'll ever want to buy a modern cut ever again. The diamonds pick up light and throw pastel sparkles wherever they go. This ring was a gift to myself to celebrate the finalization of my divorce, the sale of my house, and the start to a new and exciting chapter in my life. I missed being able to look down at my hands and see sparkles, but I wanted something that didn't look like an engagement ring. I was very happy with the price I got and the appraiser said he would have guessed that I bought it for at least twice what I paid.
Here are the details:
1920's or earlier
Platinum with Hand cut filigree...the filigree and engraving is SUPER crisp which the appraiser said was amazing for the age of the ring
1ct total weight OEC's
G-H
VS1-SI1 (one of the center stones has a little feather, but I didn't notice it without the loup...no chips or compromising inclusions)
Sooooo here are all the pics:
