I got it, but its not 100% perfect so I might return the setting and maybe go for a M.Morrell Petite Sunburst for a few hundred $$$ more. I need to think about this and make a decision.

Any comments welcome!

What part of the setting isn''t 100% perfect? I can''t see any flaws in your pics.

It looks fabulous!

I think it''s gorgeous!!

It looks gorgeous! I''m not seeing the flaws, either.

That''s not perfect?? It sure looks amazing to me. MORE pics please!! :-)

its a gorgeous setting...maybe I''m too picky

but the split end on the band is slightly unbalance...very slightly so
and in between the split...it doesn''t seem like its polished

Send it back for polishing, that should have been done before sending it out.

the setting makes the round diamond look hexagon (not that its a bad thing)
do all six prongs do that?

I think that it is beautiful! I can see what you mean about the polishing, but it doesn''t look unbalanced to me (not from your pics, anyway).

I have my late MIL''s e-ring and it is a 6 prong. It does not look hexagonal, but it looks like the prongs on yours are flattened on the outer edge which is probably what makes it appear that way. Whatever it is, I love it!

hi tc-

i think it''s a very pretty ring but if you''re not 100% lovin'' it then don''t settle because those minor things will always be in the back of your mind.

i do see what you mean about the hexagon shape. i have a 6 prong and it doesn''t look that way but like dana said, the prongs on your ring look flattened so it probably gives the ring and stone a sharper edge/look.

I agree.

Gorgeous! I LOVE the setting!

I see what you mean about it looking like a hexagon but your right it''s not a bad thing. I think it looks cool like that! Your ring is beautiful! If your not happy with the unpolished areas, I would send it back to correct that, otherwise it''ll bug the heck out of you. Beyond that it looks great! Congratulations!

That''s a lovely, unique setting. I wouldn''t change anything.

I'm sorry but the minor details would bug me. It's an expensive purchased, and you should be feeling over-the-moon with it. The hexagonal shape is a bit odd too...I've never seen anything like that before.

Sorry....I'd be sending it back. I'm not keen on the hexagonal shape and the finish quality is poor. That's just my gut feeling.

I think it''s lovely also, but if you''re not satisfied you should send it back because those things will always bother you. Keep us posted!

I love it! Just classic. I agree with the hexagon illusion but it seems to only be in that one pic. It''s new and I would go ahead to see if they can polish the inside. You should be 100% happy.

CONGRATS!

It is absolutely beautiful. This is a setting that I looked at when searching for my ring. It was my favorite of all the solitaire’s.

Hey there! This post has caused me to resign from lurking and become an official member! I think this setting is beautiful! So much so that this is the same setting me & my SO where thinking of getting in the near future. However, I can slightly detect where it appears not to have been polished correctly. None the less, I still think it''s just lovely! Seeing as how we havn''t made our minds up 100% on what setting to choose I would greatly appricate more pics, from any and every angle possible, lol. Prehaps some more face on pics or hand shots please... that is of course, If you have the chance!

In the meantime, I agree with what most others are saying, if you''re not in *love* with the setting you should consider what it would take to make you love it. Would fixing the polish help the way you feel or do you think the setting is just not quite what you had in mind?

Goodluck!
