Looking at what there is out there for square diamonds, it looks like the Regent and HOF Dream were the best thing going, with high anticipaton for the mysterious ISee2 square that people were waiting for. Then, I see the Jubilee popped up not long ago. Is the Jubilee the awaited ISee2 square?

No.

Here it is...

Hi Dadof4,

Wow and I thought I had my hands full with 2!

In answer to your question, the Isee2 square is not the same as the Jubilee. At the Vegas show I managed to pick up an Isee2 Square as we are one of thier authorized distributors and we will be featuring a full tutorial on this new cut however there are not enough in production for them to launch it just yet so I've been holding off on that for the time being. Drop me an email if you'd like more detailed information on it. We are preparing tutorials for 3 new super ideals that we've recently found that are worthy of our consideration (ie. stones that got me excited

)

As soon as we're done we'll be featuring those with all the details and some neat video we're working on too.

Regards,

How do you think it'll compare to the Jubilee? Are the other super ideals round cuts or are they a new fancy shape?

Hi EP,

In answer to your question regarding the Isee2 square and Jubilee, the Isee2 square is more of an octagonal shape while the Jubilee would be considered more of a square (more similar in shape to box Radiant) and with the tapered corners. The Isee2 has 8 sides that are all of the same length while the Jubilee's sides are longer and the corners shorter. The Isee2 is a true Hearts & Arrows diamond and the only one whose brilliance is measureable by the Isee2 device as they've calibrated their machine for these particular shapes.

The optical properties on both are very comparable. Of diamonds other than rounds the Jubilee, Isee2 square and another new cut we're about to introduce all have what is probably the most amazing light return (brilliance, fire & scintillation) that you'll find in a shape other than round.

The 3 new super ideals we are working on tutorials on is the Isee2 square, another stone that was introduced to me as a square H&A but has rounded corners so may be more on the cushiony side (4 sides, equal length with rounded corners) and a new round brilliant cut ... an 80 faceted round with absolutely amazing light return as well called the Eighternity. They are the only other rounds I know of that score triple VH's on the B'scope with a heavy emphasis on scintillation. We'll be holding tasters tests to the clients in our store and letting them compare our top of the line H&A's next to these new stones to see how the reaction is.

I'll keep ya'll updated.

Jon (Rhino);

I've seen the page on your website with the Eighternity round diamond. It looks interesting. Was the Isee2 square the diamond briefly listed as an Octogon on your New Stones page list? I was wondering what that was.

Since I can't wait for all the new cuts, I'll just stick with the Jubilee I'm planning to get. It should look great.

Thanks for keeping everyone informed about what's new in the world of diamonds.
