I was thinking about you yesterday, because I was on the phone with Lesley @ WF and we were talking about your visit there!

BTW my sapphire from Jeff White is IN THEIR BUILDING! The CADS will be ready on Monday. Ring 3rd wk in July...

Thank you for the vote of confidence when I was trying to decide how to do this: I felt so much better after reading all of your post about how things work at WF (and you were 100% spot on regarding customer service and the general feeling of "my ring is important to them").

That is GREAT NEWS!! I personally CANNOT WAIT TO SEE YOUR SAPPHIRE!!! You will have to change your name to "Found Sapphire" now. LOL I am so glad you chose WF to make your ring. I know you are going to love it. They are a great company and their craftsmen are the best. Please post pics as soon as you get it. I am very excited for you!

MissPinky photoshopped my inspiration pic from LM with Jeff White's sapphire. The ring will have a different gallery and shank, but the ratios of RB's/Pears/centre stone will be quite similar.

Any more assurance of whiteflash''s wonderful work is greatly appreciated (not that there isn''t enough on ps)! I''m just so nervous even to put it in the mail, let alone recut it, but I really think it will be worth it. I''ll be checking out your thread also and can''t wait to see the end result. I''ll definitely keep you posted. I have a serious ps addiction since finding this place!!

I didn''t even see my stone: it was shipped directly from Jeff White to WF. And seeing their security levels and how they have handled my little bit of blue has been an eye opener.

EVERYONE I talk to there makes me feel like they''ve known me since Grade School. AND that my little project (well, not THAT little...) is the most important thing on their mind. Yet they have many, many projects on deck but seem able to co-ordinate the work beautifully.

What I like the most is, when we''re at another "stage", I get an e-mail telling me what''s happening next, and who will be handling it.

Here''s an example: We''ve been kind of negotiating sizes of RB''s and pears to surround my sapphire.
1. They would first of all, confirm our conversations as to what stones I thought I wanted.
2. Then, they''d tell me when the stones were being ordered.
3. Then, they''d confirm that the stones were ordered.
4. Then, I''d get an e-mail saying the stones were in.
5. THEN! I got a photograph of the stones with my sapphire, so we could see size ratios.

Once I finalized the stone selection, I was told which CAD guy would be doing the drawings. I got an e-mail confirming all the little details I wanted inclued (things like shank shape, white gold/yellow gold/platinum, how the prongs should look, gallery style, etc. And I was told when I should see the CAD drawing

So in spite of this being nerve-wracking (ie: the ice cream freezer at the grocery store is getting raided nightly!), I feel like I am very much part of the process and I''m not nervous at all.

I hope you enjoy this as much as I did. And Isabelle too, dare I say.

Wow. It really does sound awesome. Thank you guys so much for the extra reassurance. I can''t wait to get it all started and I so hope it comes out as awesome as yours did! I just looked at your thread. Don''t know how I missed that but it looks just incredible!!! And I love that you got to use your grandmother''s ring! Lostsapphire I''ll be looking at your thread too (as soon as so you think you can dance is over) am looking forward to seeing how that comes out. I''ll def. keep you guys posted!!!
