I''m looking for diamond earrings and I''ve been reading a lot of the posts here. I plan to go see one more local seller and if I don''t make a decision to buy from him, I''m tempted to take the plunge and buy online. Although I''ve seen positive posts here about many sellers, it seems the one most talked about is Whiteflash. As a novice, would going with a certified set of diamonds from Whiteflash graded high for cut be my safest bet? It seems like maybe I could get a bit better deal from someone like James Allen. But I''ve seen so many raves about whiteflash. And it seems they get compared favorably to Tiffany''s more than the other Internet sellers. What to do? Look at individual stones/prices from different vendors (James Allen, USA, etc.) or "play it safe" if that''s is what I''d be doing with Whiteflash? What about their ready-set-go earrings? They say they are comparable to their certified stones, just not certified to keep price down.

thanks for any help!

Because WhiteFlash cuts their stones to particular specifications, it is very easy to match pairs of stones for earrings. Most jewelry stores do not put ideal cut stones in earrings. So I personally feel that buying them from WF is far safer than buying any I ever saw at a local jeweler! What puts WF in front of some of the lower priced sellers, besides the large selection of top quality stones, is that they have a lifetime trade-in policy on their regular diamonds (not the ready-set-go). So if in the future, you decide you want a larger pair or different shape, etc., you can trade them in at the full value you paid. These are some of the reasons I chose to buy my studs from WF.

If you do some searching - you will see you can easily get a magnificant pair of diamond studs from MANY of the venders mentioned on PS... not JUST WF. Bluenile, GOG, Wf.. and others have ready-set-go studs OR you can have PSer''s help you find two loose stones that match and thus can be upgraded later.

you will be safer going through a well recommended vender rather than walking into a random local mall store... but I sense that it seems to you like WF is the one and only best way to go... and this is not the case.
