IS THIS WEDDING BAND TOO BIG FOR MY E-RING??

I need to get my wedding bands ASAP!!! I am having a bit of dilemma in that the jewelry store I am getting them from is 2 1/2 hours away so going there is not easy. I found a band that I love! It is .50 ctw, shared prong, 7 stones. I am wondering though if this will look too big next to my ering, which is a 1.32 carat solitaire in a cathedral setting. I want TWO wedding bands so it would be the one band on either side of my ering. See pictures... PLEASE HELP ME, I'm CLUELESS! To help you get an idea of me; my ring size is 6.5, I'm 5'10 and pretty thin.

If anyone has any pictures that would look similar to what I'm thinking about doing, they would be much appreciated!!! THANKS!

how many mm wide is the band?

I don't know exactly, I was in such a rush trying on the first time... but if I do some quick math- the widest points look like they are where the stones are- which are .07 carats each, .07 carats translates to 2.7 mm, so somewhere around there I guess

I think it would be gorgeous! But I definitely wouldn't go any larger than that.

id personally go thinner than that, with 3-5 point stones.

The only other option that is smaller then the .50 tcw is .33 with 7 diamonds

I'm in almost the same position as you! My E-ring is 1.26 tiffany style solitaire from BG. I tried on 7 stone, 7 pointer weddings bands and I loved them! I ended up ordering a 9 stone with 7 pointers from ID jewelry which will hopefully be ready next week! I think if I were going with just one band I would stick with 7 pters. But if you want 2 bands I would go down to 3-5 pters. I think it would be a better balance. GL choosing :)

I played around on photoshop just so I could get an idea as to how the two bands would look... I'm hoping that the size wasn't messed up at all and that this is what it would really look like-again, I'm clueless about how big a .07 stone should/would look:

Hi futureMrs.A!

I have a 1.52 RB solitaire and tried on a bunch of diamond bands.... including a .33ctw a 7-stone and the more delicate pave bands that are so popular now. I ended up with a .5ctw 7-stone and think it is just perfect! I'll tried to post a few pics below....

Hope these pics aren't too huge.

For my tastes, the one .5ctw 7-stone is enough bling, and I think 2 on each side would overshadow my e-ring stone.

Depending on the width of your e-ring, you might consider the .33ctw if you really like the look of double w-bands!

GORGEOUS!!!!!! Thanks for the pictures, my ering is pretty thin... one question though, what size ring are you?

Thanks, glad to be of help! :)

My ring size is 4.

Ok great, so you're about 2 1/2 below me- so it will look a little smaller on my hand! I think I might just go for the two and if worst comes to worst I could always wear the other band on my right hand or something.

If you're getting two bands for either side, I'd probably go with this option.

If you were just getting one band though, I'd say the blingier the better!

I am in agreement with a thinner, lower cttw band, much like BlingBunny has. You have a fantastic solitiare and if you are 'book ending' it with 2 bands, I think going with smaller is better. BUT... do you want 1/2 eternities?? (or 7 stones)? I'm just thinking not only will you be watching the regular 1 wedding band spin, you'll have 3 rings moving/spinning doing their own thing. Would you consider 2 micro pave eternities? or 2 very narrow channel bands?
2 of these:

Just a thought! If you contact IDJ, be sure you mention you are a PSer and looking for PS quality.

My motto is the blingier the better! :)

I agree with this.

This is my band next to a 7 stone .75 ctw band (I went to a random jewelry store to try and see if I could get some what of a size reference)... I definitely would not do two .75 bands, but after seeing this I don't think two .5 bands would be too bad... I did try some thinner bands too while I was there, but I just wasn't feeling them

I went to another jeweler... This first ring is still bigger then the .50 seven stone I'm interested in, but it gives a little bit of the idea- I believe it's .61 or .65 ctw with 5 stones (so .12 cts each):

I found one ring that I liked at the jewelry store too though, not even close to looking like my first rin... it's .35 ctw and has 11 stones (.03 cts each)- It's the top band, not the bottom one, I was just trying to get the feel for two.

Let me know thoughts! (The bigger one actually looked pretty nice in person, I don't think the picture does it justice, it was VERY sparkly!!!)

THANKS!

I personally prefer the bottom one but the top would be better than the really big stones shown in the first photo and in your previous photos.

here is my set
e-ring: 1.25
w-band: 2.1tcw (10 pointers each)
ring size: 4.75

i think the size of my rings compliment each other perfectly...of course i'm biased... :naughty:

Final Verdict:
I decided to go with my original band in the first post- two, 7 stone bands with .50 ctw in each (.07 cts per stone)! I sent the email out to the jeweler today and it will take 10 days for the bands to be made. I will post pictures ASAP!... keep your fingers crossed that this works...

oh and I figured I would go with it because each stone's carat weight would be in between those last two that I tried on, so not too big, not too small, hopefully JUST right!

CAN'T WAIT TO SEE and I will DEF. post pictures!!!
