Is this Victorian art deco or repro?!?

Hey there looking for more information on this piece it looks to be a book chain Victorian style but I’ve also heard that there was a fad of art deco reviving the style but then again there’s also reproduction how should I tell if there’s no markers are hallmarks what it could possibly be. The materials smells like copper running my fingers along that Shane and I know on the locket that the pearls or freshwater
