Oh my Deco - your ring is absolutely beautiful. I think you hit the nail on the head with the word "bulk" re my CAD and I too am not lovin this design. I am really struggling here and can''t come up with something I am happy with. I am also considering a three row look/split shank style of some kind just haven''t found the exact one. I can''t afford so many CAD''s so I better get it right the next time around. Thanks for your opinions which by the way, I totally agree with!!Date: 11/4/2009 12:38:21 AM

Would you ever consider a side profile like this one ... three rows where it meets (what would be your Princess). You wouldn''t have to do the halo of diamonds around our center stone ... but it would give you that ''three row'' look you''re going for w/o all the bulk -- and with a smoother flow up toward the centerstone which is more pleasing to *my* eye at least.
I agree - it''s almost like the center diamond is too small for the overal width of the shank. Gosh you gals/guys are all so smart here and I do appreciate all comments - it will help me figure out where to go from here. Yes, I think your ring is beautiful too-would it look OK with a Princess?Date: 11/4/2009 12:41:43 AM

I love Bling, so no worries about it being too blingy!
There''s something that looks a little off to me...something in the symmetry of the sides being wider than the actual diamond.
Have you considered something like this?
My original ering was a split shank and I loved it at first but then began to dislike it as to me it looked more like a RHR / Cocktail ring. I put my princess stone into a solitaire setting and I couldn't be happier with it. The vaulation of the ring also went way up despite the tcw being less without the diamonds on the shankDate: 11/4/2009 12:46:10 AM

Oooh, you are open to split shanks? The possibilities are endless now. haha!
Love this ring that decode posted. I''m not loving your CADs but it might just be that that kind of ringDate: 11/4/2009 12:38:21 AM

Ditto. I think the setting is too wide, it''s wider than the stone.Date: 11/4/2009 12:47:48 AM

It is beautiful and blingy but I would want the center diamond to stand out a bit more; it is kind of lost in the setting.
Thanks D&T - do you have a photo of your sister''s ring? Also thanks for the computer helpDate: 11/4/2009 8:56:30 AM

its a beautiful ring, and I don''t mind the shank to be wider at the top as my sister''s ring looks very similar to yours but with a round and instead of pave''s its channel set three rows down the side the other direction and I think its gorgeous, however I would do something else to incorporate your head a bit better. Split shank as others mentioned would be gorgeous!
I brought your other CAD over so you can have it all on one thread, it makes it easier for everyone if all on one thread

. But, if you''re not 100% loving it I wouldn''t do it. What do you think of the attached photo or a similar design?![]()

I am with D&T on this one (as usual). I like the look of the shank dipping in at the centre, the only I dislike is the head. The stone is set way too high for my liking, especially in that type of ring, and as others have mentioned, I does look a bit industrial. However, I don't think you are too far off your ring design, if this is the look you want.

Oh my yes, I have seen that setting and quite liked it-back when I first started my search. It still catches my eye. You are a fast finder of photos DT - thanks! I think my problem is that I like too many designs including all of the suggestions on this thread...except the one WF has been working onDate: 11/4/2009 12:05:04 PM
