Carat weight: 0.71
Cut: Ideal
Color: F
Clarity: VVS2
Depth %: 60.5%
Table %: 57%
Sym/Pol: EX/EX
Girdle: Thin to medium, faceted
Culet: None
Fluorescence: None

Price:around 3900

I am now hesitating to lower the Color and Clarity a bit (H/I, VS1/VS2) to get a larger one (budget is under 4000).. Any suggestions?

It's tough to tell without the crown/pavilion angles & heights, but it's probably a very nice stone, at a reasonable price.

If you wanted to go larger, a 0.90-.95 carater in an I/VS1-2 quality would be about the same money.

Thanks. I wonder if there is clear difference between F and I color on a platinum setting. I heard that Platinum setting requires a higher quality of Diamond on color.

Thanks.

An "F" looks great in platinum, and an "I" looks pretty darn good.

The real question is whether a bigger "I" looks better than a smaller "F" in platinum.

Ditto on Rich... You could look for an SI 1 (or 2) G, too... Usually at that size the stones appear clean to the naked eye and G looks great in platinum!
