Is this really animal-derived..... or a nut pretending to be a claw/tooth?

This doesn’t look like big cat Raj jewellery to me.

Looking for info on this (not mine) item - I believe it is not claw/tooth and instead is faux. What do you think?

I just looked up raj claw and the ones I saw are thinner, and look just like the claws on my kitty. I think the one you are looking at is from something else.......might even be a fang of some kind

It looks like a talon of some kind, or a nut that’s been polished to look like a claw. Weird.

I agree. More likely a fang than a claw - and whatever it came from missed a dental appointment or three along the way.

I would lean towards a tooth and from an animal that has constant dental eruption aka the teeth grow continuously through the animal’s lifetime. Pigs fit that bill, bye.

Unlike people’s whose teeth only erupt twice.

I do think it’s a tooth. That striation is typically of constant eruption dentine.
