Honestly, I don't expect any of the ASETs for these three stones to look awesome, but the second one is better than the first one, IMO.

Are you getting a side-by-side comparison done by JA's gemologist?

I noted that two of the ovals no longer seem to be on hold, are you aware of that? Did you already make your final decision?

I ended up picking the second one when the ASET came in. I read how to interpret them online... Even JA confirmed to me that this one looks better. I just hope it comes out pretty. I do not really own any diamonds, just little stud earrings and even then, I did not really know what I was doing then. What does an .80 ct G SI2 oval diamond look like to the naked eye? I am not an expert but as long as it looks pretty, I am ok with that.

It should be pretty nice looking. You may find it looks best viewed from certain angles, and you will definitely find that the diamond will look more sparkly than usual in specific environments (for example, in restaurants).

Do spend some time with the diamond during the 30-day return period to observe it in different light conditions (by a window, under fluorescent lights, etc.) and see if it looks pretty to your eyes.

Do make sure to keep the stone pristinely clean while you're evaluating it, as skin oils can easily absorb to the diamond surface and can drastically reduce the scintillation. Until you've made your final decision to keep the stone, I would recommend you avoid touching the diamond with bare hands at all (after you've committed to your purchase, you will not need to be as paranoid about touching the diamond, because there are simple ways to clean a diamond to restore its luster).

Let us know what happens.

I've been out of town the last few days, but I'm glad to see you purchased the second one. :) If you get it and don't love it, then you can always return...
