Is this lab oval a good purchase?

I am on the hunt for a colorless oval lab diamond in the 1.20-1.40 carat range. There's a particular faceting pattern I prefer but it's hard to find. I finally found one but this lab diamond is priced quite low. I'm wondering if this stone is too good to be true? I can't tell if the faceting pattern is a little crooked or if it's just the way the stone is held in the video? Looking for feedback on this oval. Is it worth purchasing? Thank you!

Wow I agree, that has a really nice facet pattern! And because it’s HPHT it likely won’t have any brown or dark tint. Do they have a decent return policy? If so you could always order it and see if you like it in person!

have you checked Jon’s ovals at Distinctive Gem? They have a similar facet pattern without any bow tie. They are also ideal cut for optimal light performance. I’ve linked one below just for fun :) A 1.25 carat D-G color lab grown from Jon will run a bit more, $2,500 USD. But it also guarantees you’ll get a perfect cut and his excellent customer service!

Are you looking for a diamond that has a predominantly visible "X" facet pattern in the center/culet area or the arrows pattern pointing towards the belly area?
The diamond that you posted looks very nice, and it is a little crooked in the holder.

Oh yes, I’ve drooled over Elyque ovals for some time. They are stunning. They are a little out of what I want to spend for the spread I’m looking for, unfortunately.

Thank you for drawing those lines! Very helpful. Glad to know it’s just crooked in the holder. I can’t recall exactly what this facet pattern is called— 8 main-something I think? What is throwing me is the HUGE range of pricing when it comes to oval lab diamonds. This one seems like a steal at $1900. Makes me wonder what’s wrong with it? Other ovals with identical specs are going for $2,800+. It’s very confusing.

Here’s the facet pattern I think I prefer (although I can’t say I’ve ever seen it in person):

You're welcome, glad it helped.
Definitely 8 main, but the variant where there is pairing going up/down and left/right instead of criss-cross.
Nothing wrong with this oval that I can see, so you may want to jump on it before the next price hike or someone else buys it.
You can always return it and continue your search if it doesn't meet your expectations and desires when you lay your own eyes on it.

Both stones look good and decent value.
