Well, that is hard to answer, without any of us knowing what you want in a diamond. Do you want a good color? If so, I is not neccesarily the best choice. Do you want a squarish-shaped princess cut? Yours is 1.06 length to width ratio, which is generally thought of as barely rectangular.. enough so that your eye may catch it. Usually 1.00-1.05 is thought of as square shaped. Most of the other information looks great on the diamond, provided the color doesn''t bother you. The biggie to me would be the length to width ratio.

The next step would be to get additional sarin info hopefully, along with any idealscope or brilliantscope images if they have them. Just to clarify how the cut of the diamond is, and how light will perform with the stone.

Just my $0.02 worth! Best of luck to you!

My gf likes diamond that sparkles. They have the idealscope image on the link (next to GIA report).
From seeing other good princess cut diamond, I think the idealscope image looks good, but I''m not too sure since I''m still learning about diamonds.
I''m going to ask if a sarin report is available or not.
Thank you very much for your reply

If your gf likes diamonds that sparkle, have you thought of going with an ideal cut round?

I''m no expert, but from what I understand the ideal cut rounds give you the most sparkle for your money.

The Idealscope isn''t too bad, it does have lots of red, but I am not an expert in that matter. As I posted earlier, is an "I" color acceptable for you? That would be my major concern with this stone... and if that is ok, the non-squarish shape is the 2nd biggest concern.

Let me know what you think!

Similar diamonds that are close but have the square''ish size and less depth and table as your first:

http://www.whiteflash.com/diamonds/diamond_Details.aspx?itemcode=6805989 - does have xtn girdle though

Hope this helps some.

There were about 10 diamonds on WF that were better, but also about 2300-2500 depending on the stone, that were from G-H color and had were square, in the range of .71-.73
