Hi everyone.

I am looking at a diamond with a girdle of 0.7% -1.6% on the sarin report. The diameter is 6.82mm. Isn’t it extremely thin based on GIA standard?

We plan to set the stone in an exposed prong setting. How concerned should I be about potential chipping during mounting and general wear?

I'm looking forward to hearing everyone input, and any comments:)
Thank you!

I would trust the AGS report more. Sarin might have scanning error. Ask WF to do a rescan with the sarin machine to confirm the reading.

EDT:
AGS also measures girdle thickness differently from GIA. GIA measures only the valley thickness of the girdle, while AGS measures the thinnest of the valley to the thickest at the hills, giving a larger range in girdle thickness.
