Is this GIA certified 1.20 cts G VS1 diamond a good buy?

Hi,

I am exploring all options for buying an engagement diamond. I have a friend who has family in the diamond business and I was shown this 1.20 carat G VS1 diamond GIA certificate with 3 EX's. Quoted price is $10,250 USD. I was told this is a good deal although I have seen similar online for less.

depth 62.2%
table 60%
crown angle 35.5
pavilion angle 41.2

However, I am concerned about the cavity and natural indent as part of the inclusion. It also scares me that the calculated HCA score is 5.2.

should I pass on this one?

I would pass on this one. When looking for round brilliants, I try to stick to measurements that will result in the ideal cut zone:

table: 54-58

depth 60-62.3

crown angle: 34.0-35.0

pav angle: 40.6-41.0
