Is this emerald a good buy?

Yes, why am I missing something? The diamonds looks very clear and bright, no idea about the emerald but I have seen smaller emerald rings in a setting not as nice for around that amount.

I see what you mean. I wonder if having it oiled would calm those spots down. Hopefully someone comes along that knows emerald and can give more feedback. I still think it is beautiful. I still love this ring on you and I think it is quite substantial for 900.

A good buy in my opinion. Price out comparable emeralds at africagems or multicolor and I think you’ll be happy with your purchase. That said, if the inclusions bother you then it doesn’t matter how good a buy it was.

So pretty! I really love this setting especially that there is an almost “ruffled” appearance with the round stones to the north and south of the emerald. Maybe that’s not the right terminology but trust me, it’s a compliment
