Ladies I need your help!

this has turned into a much longer journey then expected. But my husband has agreed to get me a 2nd engagement ring as long I let him handle the details..eeek thats hard for me to do :knockout:

anyways, he found a diamond but its an L color and after doing research I think I really will love the color and since my original engagement ring is H color, I am ok with L color. I love diamonds of all colors, I even have a FLY pendant, to me color makes the diamond have character.

so here's the problem should I be concerned over the cut being a AGS 2?

I am also a bit nervous about complaining to him about details cause he is trying to surprise me & handle it all on his own-but his a computer programmer for the military, so his jewelry knowledge is limited. I don't even know what jewelry company his working with .

anyways after bugging him, he emailed me this report so that I can get an idea of the diamond.

so should I be worried? or is this diamond a keeper?

It's ok, WE know what company he is working with, it's going to be stupendously amazing. ;))

I don't know where this diamond comes from but it looks like it has potential! I would not let him have it set until you see the diamond, though. It appears to be newly cut, and I will say that a lot of Good Old Gold's AVCs have ideal (0) or excellent for the specs, so I am not sure how I feel about very good for proportions and symmetry.

You are much braver than me because there is no way my husband could pick out a diamond for me!

lol this will be the first piece he gets to pick on his own :| So my nerves are a bit on edge. I'm glad for the knowledge on PS. Things like symmetry, polish, table etc. always throw me off.

He sounds like a keeper and so does the diamond. Let him enjoy this process, if you can, it seems like he's out of his comfort zone (for you) and that will make him feel good that he "did good". That's sweet! Since it sounds like he's on the right track...I could see letting him move forward. Maybe a deal like-you do the diamond, I'll do the setting?? Or make a Pinterest with 5 pics of the same type of thing so he reallly gets the idea of what you like. Good luck :wavey:

Oh my goodness!! What report is this? Can you post the number or the full image? I think this might be the very first non-branded AGSL DQD for a cushion that I've seen! It doesn't look like one of the specialty DQRs with Light Performance that can be commissioned (like GOG did for their AVCs)...

Thank you!

I let my hubby know he has the PS approval and that made him feel good lol. He let me pick my first e-ring so I will not micro manage him during this process. I feel like I robbed him of the experience the first time, even though he was completely ok with me picking everything. But this time I can see his enjoying the process of picking an e-ring.
