I am new at this forum as well as to the Diamond world, therefore I would really appreciate your help on chosing the perfect diamond for an engagment ring.

I have been wondering at the local stores and I have found that most of them want to sell you the diamond based only on the clarity and color but that they never give any reference to how well the cut is. The only one that does is jewlery store which sells Lazare diamond but the price for the same carat size tends to be at least 40% higher.

I have these two options from other stores (not lazare diamonds) and I want to know if you consider the quality and price adequate for the diamdond, or if I should stick to Lazare.

Princess Cut

I really appreciate all the comments you can make

1. rather large table, good symmetry, thick girdle, off-square
2. extremely thin girdle, good symmetry

Are they graded by GIA?

Yes they are GIA stones, their reports are 11810880 and 14760760

Do you recommend any of those two or should I find a better cut?? and how about the price

I''d say keep looking. Price is definitely on the high side if you "pricescope your diamond" at the top of the page.
