I know it''s been asked a hundred times before. I guess I am hoping to hear something new. :) Is this a TERRIBLE idea??

It would be my wedding band. I have a great appraiser so could return within the 7 days per policy if needed. Even if the stones ended up being SI1-2 and the color was G-H I would be thrilled probably (I have a 1.5 carat, G, I1 with a eye-visible if you know it is there or are up close white feather, Pear solitaire e-ring so am no diva in that regard).

It does seem too good to be true though, so probably is!!

For what it is worth, my alternative would most likely be the whiteflash u-prong - http://www.whiteflash.com/Wedding_Bands/Annette-s-U-Prong-Eternity-Band_1400.htm , which has 10 pointers versus what appears to be 20 pointers in the ebay band. The quality of WF I know is top notch, but I am concerned about chunkiness due to the fact that I forsee myself wearing wedding band alot due to my work and my e-ring has a chunkier 4 mm shank.

With ebay... best to go in knowing that it could always be too good to be true.

If you choose to go ahead definitely confirm the return policy - I see on the page they say 7 days for any reason with no restocking fee, but under the payments and returns tab they say 30 days less shipping, processing fee of 10%, and custom orders get store credit only - check that ordering a specific size does not constitiute custom, and find out how price changes if you need a bigger size (adding diamonds=more?) or a smaller size (discount?).

The sample pictured has 18 0.2ct stones, for 3.6ctw. They do state that gemstone weights can very by +/- 0.03ct, so does that mean be prepared for 18 0.17 stones - 3.06ctw?

Go with WF, you will not be sorry. The cut quality of the diamonds is killer.
