Aside from the fact that its overkill, its nice. Id rather have an eyeclean D VS2 that hits 1.5 personally. There's a reason that stone is hard to move. Better yet an F Vs2 that's 1.7 carats.

definitely better than the original JA D IF stones you listed.
The problem with D IF is not necessarily all about money and value. Also, it is hard to find a well cut stone, because your search result is so~ limited

I think it is a good compromise you have made. VVS2 is still mind-clean, rare and something you (and your mom) can brag about, especially when combined with D color.

high crown with no leakage, small table, fat arrows, clean and well-defined appearance... what a beauty. stunning: love:

Wonderful! We will compare it with a 1.27 ct D VVS2 ACA from WhiteFlash that costs $3,224 more (the 30 day return period isn't up yet). This B2CJewels diamond is 15% bigger for 20% less money. I'm excited to see what she thinks.

$18,738.46 + $20 wire
1.277 ct D VVS2
HCA: 1.0 Ex/Ex/Ex/VG
L/W/D (MM): 6.91*6.95*4.29
Depth 61.8%
Table 55.9%
Crown Angle 34.5°
Pavilion Angle 40.7°
Star 52.0%
Lower Half 76.0%
Girdle Thin to Slightly Thick

Yes, I personally have a G SI1 August Vintage Round from GOG and egads, it only has Excellent polish instead of Ideal (on an AGS cert). I better never show my mom my cert. :) But finding this diamond at 20% less than the WhiteFlash stone is already a minor miracle so I don't think I will push her further down the clarity or color scale.

Yes, that is an incredible price on that stone. I had to look at comps because I couldn't believe the price was accurate. Is it on hold? If not, put it on hold and then tell me where you found it!

(That said, I'd also rather have a 1.7 F VS1 if you can find one at the same kind of low price.)

Okay, I posted my first comment while you were posting. So this is for your mom? That stone is an incredible deal. If she requires D VVS, then I wouldn't look a bit farther. The WF stone is great, but it is quite a bit smaller for $3k more.

Hi diamondseeker! Yes, I'm rather amazed to find such a nice stone at this price too! I actually submitted the wire transfer yesterday actually so the money should get to B2CJewels on Monday. I keep thinking something is going to go wrong! I'll be happy when this diamond is in my hands. :D

Yes, it's for my mom. I'm not going to return the WhiteFlash ACA until we get a chance to compare the two together but it seems impossible that she would choose the ACA even without knowing the price. :D

I am really excited to hear from you (and your mom) :appl:

There are many members who are curious to know how a carefully selected GIA x with ideal proportions and no leakage compares against a branded super ideal cut diamond.

We had a fun weekend comparing diamonds in different lighting conditions. In the end, we couldn't perceive a visible difference between the diamonds other than size! I have all the toys (IdealScope and H&A viewer and ASET) and everything looks great under the scopes. The last thing to do is to take the B2CJewels diamond to an independent appraiser (Carole Richbourg) to confirm all looks well. And decide on a setting! :naughty:

My mom chose the Elegant Solitaire (Tiffany style head) from WhiteFlash. I just picked it up this morning :) Here's a quick photo with my wedding band!
