The best stuff in my opinion is a cleaning solution called "awsome" You can only buy it in dollar stores.

It cleans up silver, and it does better on my diamonds than anything else. Its a natural multi purpose cleaner,

but I use it for my jewelery. It does not harm it at all.

There isn''t much info there about what is in it and how it works.

It says NO DIPPING or BRUSHING.

I would assume it has some thing that is active to remove the build up on things. I can''t understand how just putting the ring in a liquid would be equal to what an ultrasonic does.

I noticed that the jewelry cleaner is priced at about double what the silver cleaner is.

There isn''t anything that the site seems to inform you of HOW it cleans or what you do to clean it.....

Probably ask for "deeper" details and info regarding HOW it cleans, what the process is, and what ingredients are in it. I also see there are two bottles, so I guess one is a pre cleaner, or one a finishing cleaner? ( shrug)

Check out the thread in the shopping forum for cleaners to use in the Ultra sonics. I know cflutist gave a couple of good links. I ordered mine from one of those links. At least with those you know what you are getting.

I went to the guy''s webstore and purchased the AB''s books, cause they were cheap and would give me at least a "sample" of how good or bad those were, since they also made promises that sounded too good to be true, and the cost was under $3.00

I got a PDF download of a Men''s Health Magazine article that was previously in PDF format Plus what appears to be scans of recepies from the atkin diet.

I wonder whether or not this person has the right to sell for monetary gain, previously copyrighted material ????

Have to do the research on that, once it is complete, I''ll post it here.

But that should give a basis for how legitimate the claims are for the cleaners.

Rockdoc,
My only coment is...I''m glad you didn''t decide to purchase his law book at $1.49. Cheap legal advice is not good advice.

There's a thread here about Sister's Jewelry. Someone asking about them . Being they are in Boston, you might want to respond to that question, since you're in the area.

RE: Legal e book

I am a non- lawyer member of the FL Bar, and have conducted a CE seminar with some other valuation experts and published in their CE manual a couple of years ago.

I will contact the publishers who have copyright to that material and ask if they licensed him to resell it on ebay. If they hadn't he'll need his own book about law.

I've lectured and written articles about appraiser's copyrighting appraisals as well, so I have a decent basic knowledge of copyright issues.

Further, if he is reselling other's copyrighted intellutual property for his own financial gain without a license, I am certain that both he and ebay will hear about it.

The e "book" isn't a "book" at all, it is all of 7 pages. It would be more accurately described an a e- "article". ( he also doesn't mention in the "abs" book that you have to concoct some type of device to hang from, get a weighted big ball, or a slope gym type thingy to do the exercises that are listed in the article. (sort of suprised he isn't marketing those items).

Unfortunately, lifting up even big pet rocks, doesn't appear to exercise your abs !!! Good exercise for Rockdoc's eyes though

Jensia is really right I would have never have thought that I would have seen that on here. Awsome is really AWSOME!!! it will clean anything and do it without hurting a thing. It lists that its main cleanning agent is H2O. you can clean anything from jewelry to your kitchen sink. I know what some of you will think who would clean a piece of jewelry that means the world to them with the same thing they would clean their kitchen sink with? Well I look at it like this if it''s safe enough to eat from the surface like were you put and clean your dishes it''s safe enough for your diamonds. It''s really great.

I knew you were a "legal eagle" and I kinda knew this would get a charge out of you.

We have used diluted Top Job or Mr. Clean for the past 30 years in our heated ultrasonics and have bnever damaged anything. This stuff cleans diamonds, rubies, sapphires and precios metal jewelry very rapidly and at virtually no cost. It rinses off quickly and does not leave a residue. There are good cleaners sold in small bottles, but I have never tried any that worked better or cost less than the two I mentioned.

Dave,
We also used diluted Top Job in our ultrasonics for years and years with no problems in our family owned jewelry stores.
Many bench jewelers used it also. Did an outstanding job!
