I think it's a stunning Princess! But I really think you need to spend a day trying both these cuts on to figure out which one suits you best before shopping for a stone.

Thanks, Ellen. I''ve tried on both shapes in some B&M stores, to get an idea of what I prefer when they''re on my finger. I''m partial to the princess cut, but I''m confused about how to really know if one stone is better than another. I''m not sure how to evaluate the numbers on a Sarin report for the princess cut (as opposed to round), and am also not sure what the IdealScope image should look like for this cut. There''s plenty of info on Pricescope on how to evaluate Sarin and IdealScope for round brilliants, but not as much for the Princess cut. I''ve had to really hunt to find some guidelines, and I would appreciate any more that people have.

This stone seems exceptionally priced. Is that because the girdle varies in thickness? And the IdealScope image seems to show a lot of white, particularly right smack in the center.

Am I readiing these right, or is this an amazing stone at a fabulous price?

Oh, I''m sorry. I just said that because of your first sentence.

Maybe this link will help you figure out what you''re looking at!

Princess, just like rounds, can have some leakage that is not detrimental, it just helps enhance scintillation. But it''s more random in fancy shapes, I understand about it being harder compared to rounds. And each ASET can vary also, but mean the same thing, a beautiful (or not) stone. I asked about a couple awhile back, and got some good info from the pros, maybe that will help you too.

The PC diamond you like looks great. I think you should go with the shape that appeals to you the most.

Thank you, Ellen! This is exactly the type of info I was searching for.

Yay! And you're very welcome.

Also, the price does not reflect anything wrong with this stone, it's an AGS0, the best as far as Princess go. Online prices are just very competitive.
