Is this a good diamond?

Hello all,

First time diamond buyer here wanting to get something for an engagement ring. I've got a budget of £3000 all in and the ring I'm after comes in at about £700 so that leaves £2400 for the diamond. I'm ideally after as close to 1ct as possible and I've found one on Blue Nile that I've reserved;

I'm happy with 0.97ct but don't want to go any lower. I'm under the understanding that very good cut, VS1 clarity and H color in a Platinum band will look great.

My only real concern is the H color but I don't believe this will be an issue?

I had wanted to order through James Allen or somewhere where I could see high quality photos but unfortunately they don't add UK taxes (VAT) until delivery so that means they work out at about 20% more expensive than BN.

Obviously with BN I have the returns policy if I'm not happy.

Any advice?
