Hi all,

i''ve gone back to my custom jeweler guy who is making my rings, he''s also showing me stones - i had one set aside ...correction from a previous post i said it was .89 its actually .87 between F-G, SI2 non cert for $1760 .. really good colour and cut is pretty good its sparkles alot. However after seeing it once again, the inclusion that is visible to me on the table of the stone is just not going to make me happy forever.

So, he''ll have 3+ more diamonds for me to see this weekend, GIA certified this time to avoid the cert hassle. My budget is $2000 for a stone that has GIA cert and is SI2 or better, colourless/near colourless and am thinking .50-.70 cts ; i hope my jeweler can show me something more eye clean than the previous stone i''ve seen.

I have gone online to JAMES ALLEN because i''ve been reading alot about them...any thoughts on how good this diamond i found is? Seems pretty eye clean to me ...

This one is a bit deep. Are you willing to go down in color?

If it were me I would prefer a better cut. "Good" isn't really that good.

i want to stay in near colourless range at least. An excellent cut means a lot as well, especially if it aids in hiding any blemishes the stone might have.

has the depth got anything to do with the fact that this stone is a little shadowy or is it just the lighting?

Good cut is not good enough for me.

I think you should prioritize cut and perhaps consider dropping color or size to remain in your budget. I appreciate colorless diamonds, and big ones, but if it is not cut well then it looks dead and lifeless.

This diamond will appear small when compared to a better cut stone.

These aren't exactly what you are looking for but take a look anyway. They are lower in clarity the cuts are nice. JA doesn't have a lot of the reports up so I couldn't find much there.

0.74ct H I1

0.71ct G SI2

I agree with Garry, also you can see the leakage from the loupe image which is severe, I would keep looking personally.
