Is this a good deal or am I missing something?

Hi all,
I'm looking for a stone somewhere around 1.2ct, G-H color, eye clean and ideal cut. I have found the following stone on WF, but it's in their "expert collection" not, ACA. I'm wondering if you can help me determine whether or not this stone is worth the price or if the stone is lacking in some parameter that I'm missing that would make it not an "ACA" stone.

Thanks!

I was looking a bit at the BGD blue, but I read a few people didn't like the fluor.

This diamond only has med blue, but do you any feel for whether or not the flour matters?

rg780 -

I personally prefer stones with fluor. They can sometimes make the stone appear 'whiter' when face up, and more importantly to me, it's just a damn cool scientific phenomenon.

For the most part, fluor won't be a factor, unless you're under blacklight all the time.

'Medium' shouldn't affect the appearance much, if at all. In fact, I've read reports of people having stones that possess fluor for many years, not realizing it was even a component of their stone!

I have purchased one of these BG Blue stones myself (smaller than the one you're considering) and can tell you that its a stellar performer.

Long story short - don't be afraid of fluorescence. Consumer misconception results in a lower price for informed buyers (particularly when buying from a vendor who can vet the stone for you and ensure no negatives from fluor).

This is a great ideal cut stone! There should be no concerns about it. ACA's will have a perfect hearts pattern and are at the top of the ideal cut range, but it usually is never going to be something that you could actually see.

Strange, the stone is priced as it were a ACA... looks like a true H&A stone.

Many stones with Excellent or Ideal optical symmetry don't quite make it to the H+A standard of perfection they look like they have hearts and arrows but H+A is very strict
