This diamond is for an engagement ring, a local jeweler is selling it to me for $11,500. Is this a good deal? For you diamond experts, how is the cut? Here are all of the specs from the GIA report. Please advise, Thanks!

It looks promising by the numbers, as David says have you seen it in person? The table is a little larger than some we see here, but can be a matter of taste. Check the diamond carefully to make sure it is eyeclean and matches your expectations in this respect.

Yes, a few inclusions that you could view under the 10x scope, but nothing visible to the eye. It looks good in person, but then again im not a pro at this

Cut looks good and the price is too. Just make sure it is eye-clean.

That sounds fine, does the price include the setting and if so what metal is it, and does it have any accent diamonds?

Also check it out away from the store lights to make sure you like how the diamond behaves in everyday lighting, this should give you a good idea of how it will look when being worn on the hand.

Holloway Cut Advisor - a tool which is used here, no need to worry, it is used to eliminate diamonds not select them.

It is really used if you are not sure of the proportions of a diamond, the aim is to score below 2 then such diamonds are considered a pass pending further evaluation which is done with your own eyes if shopping in person, or images such as ASET or Idealscope if shopping online.

The price looks fine for a store diamond, typically brick and mortar stores are more expensive than online. You can use the price comparison tool above Pricescope your Diamond to check the prices of similar, just enter your specs and hit search all and other diamonds will come up on the listing that you can use as a comparison, but bear in mind these are online diamonds and as above usually cheaper than those from a store.

You can''t actually tell how bad or good a diamond looks from the inclusion plot. Sorry.

From what I can see it looks okay, the diagram isn''t too clear on my monitor - but can you check with Abazias whether the diamond is eyeclean and matches your expectations in this regard, and also that the grade setting cloud isn''t causing a loss of brilliance with the diamond, this is rare with SI1 clarity but best to check.
