Is this a good cushion?

Hi I just purchased a stone online from JA because i wanted a chunkier cushion with broader flashes of light. I currently have a cushion with a crushed ice look but I am planning to return it to the seller if the JA diamond will have better light performance.
This is the JA cushion http://www.jamesallen.com/mobile/loose-diamonds/cushion-cut/1.03-carat-f-color-vs2-clarity-sku-597707
Let me know what you think about this stone, JA people said it will look icy white and very brilliant and sparkling. But i see some dark shadows in it. Im not really sure what those are. Thanks in advance! My current stone is an F VS2 1.03ct 1.01ratio crushed ice look with ex/ex polish and symmetry and is very sparlky. Your opinions about the JA stone will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Well, even though it is a VS2, there looks to be a dark crystal right on the face of the table... that would be enough to be put me off this diamond.

As to the dark shadows, are you referring to the bright/dark contrast pattern which appear as a result of the faceting?

I think you can do better. In my opinion, that cushion has nice, lively scintillation under the crown, but it has much less going on (in terms of brad flashes) under the table. I agree that there's a tad too much obstruction (dark reflections) in the diamond center, too.

Thanks for your responses! I really appreciate it!
Can you let me know which one is going to be the best option for me if i exchange the stone that I purchased.
Here are my choices with my girlfriend's preferrence. Thanks in advance!

@marrymm
Yes! Im referring about the dark contrast under the table. Is that a bad thing?

@tyty333
My girlfriend prefers an f vs2 and a more square cushion, but i really love the pattern of the diamond you posted. It looks like it has
Facets.

@drk14
I posted the other diamonds that grabbed my attention if im not satisfied with what i purchased

The one above and this one are my 2 favorites. They looked very similar. I couldnt see the price on the above one since it was
reserved. Are you going to request asets on these if they can get them?

My 3rd choice would be one of these 2 but I consider the 2 above much nicer
http://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/cushion-cut/1.00-carat-f-color-vs1-clarity-sku-597966 a little dark under the table for me

Sorry for the late reply, PS is having problems and i was unable to post comments and replies.
Thanks tyty333! I love your choices, I exchanged the diamond with one of your 2 top diamond =) http://www.jamesallen.com/mobile/loose-diamonds/cushion-cut/1.03-carat-f-color-vs1-clarity-sku-607006 this diamond looks brighter than my first choice. Do you think it will still look square even if it has a 1.04 ratio? I hope this will look chunkier because i had returned a diamond with a crushed look, i wanted a chunkier look with a budget around 4k. it was a 1.03 F VS2 ex/ex ratio of 1.01 with nice proportions. I also hope i made the right choice of returning it hehe. I would also like your opinion about this other cushion, http://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/cushion-cut/1.01-carat-f-color-vs1-clarity-sku-608752 it seems like it is nice too but the table seems to be to small and the girdle thin?. what do you think? it is also much cheaper than the 607006 cushion. should I exchange again? which diamond do you think will have more fire and sparkle. Thanks again!

Both those stones that you picked look good. That new one looks very nice. We usually only worry about extremes in girdle like
very thin to thick or very thick but you can ask the gemologist to take a look at it and see if there is any kind of durability issue.

What type of setting/prongs are you putting it in? I think for square we usually say 1.05 and under but it really depends on
what the individual can tolerate. Plus, prongs/settings can sometimes make a difference (bring out more squareness or vice-versa).

I was chatting with an agent the other day and he said the 607006 will have a better light performance because of the table. I was thinking that a smaller table will have better optics and will be more chunky. My plan is to have it in Halo setting
