Is this a good choice?

Hi members, first off let me thank you all for the knowledge I have gathered from this site. I have been a long time reader, so many answers I have been able to find here... Now I have a question;

I have a budget of 5k-6k and will push to $6500 if need be. Size of stone should be 1 carat but anything between .95 and 1.1 should do.

I have taken all my limited knowledge and made a decision on a diamond from JA. They have placed it on hold for me and I wanted to get the advise of some board members.

Let me know what you think. The stone appears very clean and scores 1.0 on pricescopes HCA tool. The only place I really see a fault which isn't necessarily a fault is the medium blue for fluorescence. While the stone is on hold I am waiting for confirmation that there will not be any cloudiness in the stone under daylight given the fluorescence.

I think the stone looks good! As long as the fluorescence doesn't affect it negatively (hazy/milkiness), then I think it will be a definite keeper. The fluoro will make the I color appear whiter as well. I agree with the other poster that you should pick out two more for inspection since JA will allow 3 on hold at a time.

Thank you for all your replies. Based on what I've looked at this one appeared to be the best to me but I wanted to post it here in case you guys had some suggestions for other stones worth considering within the same perimeters, I suggested in my original post.

I did ask JA to verify the stone will not have any cloudiness to it due to the fluorescence.

How do you feel the value is on this diamond? I assume I'm getting a far better deal than anything I would buy at the mall or local jewelry shop.

Let me know your thoughts on this as a comparison

It probably is more strongly contrasted than the first, needs an evaluation if you want to pursue it.

Can anyone recommend a couple other diamonds from JA. I'm really worried now that I should have two more to compare with but I'm starting to get overwhelmed with selection.
