Scores 5.7 on HCA, I’d say no.

Is it very cheap? What do you want it for?

The diamond is a 60/60 style diamond. That means it will return more white light than fire. But, it has a too low crown angle (33) and too high a pavilion angle at 41.8. it's not a well balanced cut. It will have a dark center and performance poorly. So, no. Not a good deal.

If you post your wants and budget, maybe we can help.

These are measurements to help you stay in ideal cut territory with a GIA excellent cut stone. Think of this as a filter. Filter 1 is GIA 3x or AGS0. Filter 2 is stay within the ranges below.. Filter 3 is the HCA tool to see if the angles are complementary. Anything that passes 1 & 2 with an HCA of 2.0 or less is worth obtaining an Idealscope or ASET image to check light return, and Heart and arrows image to see symmetry. If you like 60/60 stones, then check the HCA, but it is not as suited to evaluate then and they really must get an ASET or IS.

table: 54-58
depth: 60-62.3
crown angle: 34-35.0 (up to 35.5 crown angle can sometimes work with a 40.6 pav angle)
pavilion angle: 40.6-40.9 (sometimes 41.0 if the crown angle is close to 34)

looking for an engagement ring.
prefer colorless, and carat size 0.95 up.
unfortunately budget is only usd 7k

Does 7k include setting? Looking now....

GIA is stricter on color, AGS is stricter on cut. With your budget, F color will drop you below 1 carat.

{two great options if in budget, look at Wire Price. Super-ideal and will have gorgeous performance; I slightly prefer 390753 as I prefer chubby arrows}

Give us some feedback on these. If you like any of these, put them on HOLD asap. You can do this through the customer service "CHAT" on both websites. JA allows you to hold 3 and will only provide 3 IS images. So, don't ask for the IS yet from JA -- let's see if anyone else finds something I missed.

Its a lovely choice @sunshine02 and will be much much better than many of the diamonds you see in Singapore. Although, I seem to recall there was a super-ideal vendor in Singapore...Jann Paul maybe? So, you might see what Jann Paul would charge for a H&A super-ideal with the same specs and if they affects the cost after taxes from the US.

I can't help you with taxes/conversions from Singapore, but maybe some of our international members can help @Bron357 @ratatat

If you go with WF, I'd have them also set the ring for you. So, be sure you know your intended's ring size. Although, the simple settings I posted can be re-sized locally. Diamonds can be damaged during settings, so you want the diamond vendor to have that responsibility.

Thanks. What about this one?

I'm from Singapore. I think there will be a 7% gst.
Is it 7% over the purchase price?

You will likely have to pay Singaporean GST on import.

But if you are there, you really should schedule an appointment with JannPaul Diamonds as they sell super ideals and will be able to assist you in finding a lovely stone.

Your initial stone is not one I would choose. Very shallow crown coupled with very steep pavilion.

thanks. everyone raves about jannpaul in singapore. will make a trip down then.
what’s the difference between super ideal cut and ideal cut?
