Hi Everyone!
I want to set a three stone with a 3.5 ct emerald cut with two .84 ctw emerald cut diamonds. I like the Lucida, but I am afraid that I may not like it when I am 70. Please take a look at these settings and tell me what you think.

If not a three stone then this one:

I thought you could only get Lucida from Tiffany...?

I like #3 the best. The profile view is the nicest by far. I like halos, but I''m just not into the particular halo you posted. It doesn''t look very well done, in my opinion.

Technically, yes, but I don't think she was suggesting that she would/could?? There are certainly ways to get replicas made, however, but that is off-topic.

mymodog, I also prefer #3 of the ones you posted. Like thing2of2, I'm not crazy about the workmanship on the halo piece, but I like the "idea" of that setting!

Thank you for your help.
I think number 3 is the "Lucida" setting. I liked it as well.
If anyone has anymore suggestions I would take them.

Forgive me, but I think all of them are a bit "thick" looking and could be further refined and more elegant. If you are going to get a large emerald and want to do a three-stone or a halo, there is only one man to do the setting in my opinion: leon mege (artofplatinum.com). His settings are fluid, delicate, and really well-made works of art.

Sorry, I thought Lucida was the cut of the stone (some special sort of modified square or something) as well as the setting, so I was just looking for clarification, not to be difficult.

I completely agree with kcoursolle!

Yes the art of platinum website is great. We have kind of exhausted our resources with the stones, and some forced house remodeling that we had not anticipated. I think those settings are going to be pricey!!! If I do something handmade I will use Greg Crawford. See what you think about this setting for a future one or two year anniversary present.

I think the last setting you posted is beautiful and if you love pave covered rings that one is it...
