Hey everyone, Last April I got engaged and picked out a really nice diamond with all of your help. Here''s a link to the info about the ring I bought (all specs included):

Basically, I was wondering whether or not the current economy has brought down prices enough to make it worth upgrading.
I had paid $4725 for the diamond, $1000 for the bridal set, and when I appraised everything as one (set diamond in the whole bridal set), it was valued at $6770.
I was wondering if a larger diamond today could be had for close to the same price as the old diamond. Basically I would be taking advantage of Shane Co.''s upgrade policy that says to upgrade my diamond I would only have to pay $1 more than I had paid for the original diamond.
Thanks in advance for your help, and I''ve included a picture of the diamond set in the ring .
