I have fluctuated quite a bit over the years in weight and ring size and don't want to sink a lot of money into a ring that possibly couldn't change with me.

So, first I'd suggest not making the diamond go much further down than half way. Maybe 2/3rds around so you have a bit too size. Depending on how far you need to take it down, you can also eventually put sizing beads in it as well

If you're worried about sizing up, you could have it made to start with sizing beads that could then be taken off as needed
