Hi all,

I am looking to buy a diamond which has been graded by IGI as IDEAL CUT, VVS1, D. It is produced by CVD and "may include post-growth treatment". I have read about CVD strain patterns. Is it possible such a high graded diamond could have strain patterns. Is this something I should be worrying about?

CVD show a lot of strain under polarized light.
There are lots of articles
Not sure you need to worry as the post growth treatment is likely to remove any normally visible strain patterns.
